Our second year at Old Westbury Gardens!

We'll be sharing our unique atmospheric blend of Scofield funk and Bitches Brew fusion influences, Frisell-ish country, swing, Radiohead, and free jazz.

Old Westbury Gardens is one of the most beautiful sites on Long Island, and tours of the historic Westbury House (into which the concert will move in the event of inclement weather or the severe threat thereof) and magnificent gardens are available, led by knowledgeable docents. Add an hour of great music under the venerable beech tree, and it's the perfect way to spend the afternoon!

This summer marks the series debut of the full McCarron Bros. jazz quartet (a lucky audience last summer heard guitarist Mark McCarron, bassist Phil Palombi, and drummer Russ Meisner; this time, they'll be joined by Paul Carlon on sax).

They'll be sharing their unique atmospheric blend of Scofield funk and Bitches Brew fusion influences, Frisell-ish country, swing, Radiohead, and free jazz. West Porch Beech Tree Artist-in-Residence cellist Suzanne Mueller will sit in on a few tunes and serve as opening act with a brief solo.
